Dan and Kathy Kuhn own and operate the Depot Market located on 36 Highway in Courtland Kansas. Their storefront is the historic Santa Fe Depot, which was built at the intersection of the two rail lines running through Courtland in 1889. The depot was moved to its current location in 1989, making this year the 30th Anniversary and the 130th Anniversary of the old Santa Fe train depot.

The Depot Market is open from 9-5:30 Monday through Saturday and 1-5 on Sundays. They attract customers from far and wide that know they will find only the freshest tomatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe, sweet corn, green beans, and other locally grown produce during the summer months. The Depot has recently begun building out an Agri-Tourism aspect to their business. Starting in the month of July they will have you-pick-em blackberries, and this fall they will have pumpkins and apples to pick on-site, along with a corn maze for families to enjoy.

Dan and Kathy like that the Swedish-American State Bank takes a community-focused approach to how we serve our customers and can’t say enough about the support they have received over the years from our local communities. We hope you’ll find time this summer to visit the Depot Market, and believe if you do, you’ll be back soon. Depot Market – 785-374-4255
