Jensen Tire & Service is located at 225 Main St. in Courtland Kansas. They offer automobile and farm repair services, as well as Courtland’s only grocery store.
Gary Jensen, owner of Jensen Tire & Service, began work at the current location in 1981, when it was owned by Dale Adams. Gary was able to purchase the business in 1991 and changed the name from Adam’s Oil to Jensen Tire and Service.
Gary specializes in both car and light truck repair, as well as tractors, semi’s, loaders and irrigation pivots. He is a Certified Firestone Ag dealer, and can order most brands of tires in any size. He sells Hercules tires for automobiles as well as agriculture equipment, these tires carry the best warranty in the business.
The “Cantina” was added in 2009 and offers a wide range of grocery and convenience items. They also have a great selection of beers and soda’s to quench even the most severe thirsts. Gary has recently added Prime Cut Meats to his offering, and offers steaks, brisket, tenderloins and prime rib directly from his cooler, or special ordered in case lots.
Williams Drilling in Belvidere Nebraska keeps a locker of parts at Jensen Tire, which has been a convenient partnership for both businesses.
Gary likes the friendly and convenient atmosphere of Swedish-American State Bank, and doing everything right here in town. He has watched generations of kids grow up, and fixed many a bicycle tire, free of charge. His customers are like his family, and he is an important part of our community.
